Leather Bag IMP/INC

Hello, I got some good feedback on my first post of this bag from Oleksii Rybakov and Oscar Rottink and that made me want to take a closer look on it and try to improve it. Hopefully I did
Modeled in ZBrush and rendered with KeyShot 2023.

Nice!! Not sure how much time you spend extra but I think it really improved over the already really nice renders. Hope you feel the same, now onto next project!

Thank you, I often think my work is not photorealistic enough so it is really nice to hear :slightly_smiling_face:

When in doubt, add dirt and scratches ;). Your models are extremely clean. That’s actually what I love about your work also because they are really nicely modelled.

If you would do real closeups it might be a bit too clean since you will always see some tiny scratches, dust or differences in roughness on most ‘used’ items. The lock for example is something that while using will bump into a lot of things or people opening it will scratch it a bit with rings they wear etc. But you’ll only notice it, like in real life, if you have the object really close.

And most of the time we want to render quite perfect objects without the fingerprints, dust, scratches. It’s a bit of a weird balance between photorealistic and a product shot to sell a product I think.

Hehe, yes that’s a good tip. I usually try to add that but as you said the balance is hard and I am “bad” at roughing stuff up :slightly_smiling_face:

Here are two examples with some nice “dirt/smudges” that you might like, they shoould work nice even when looking at them closer:

ArtStation - Coffe maker ZBrush+Keyshot, Herman Carlsson
